kasih jempol .. night training

angie emang patut dikasih jempol utk urusan BAK-BAB.

* umur 1 tahun (winter 2008)

pagi-siang: pakai diapers (biar oma gak kerepotan)

sore-malam: kalo mama dah pulang kantor, diaper seringan dilepas; bisa (dan mau) jongkok di kamar mandi atau duduk di potty.

tidur: dengan diaper

* umur 1.5 tahun (spring-summer 2009)

sudah bisa nuruni celana sendiri dan duduk di potty buat pipis atau pup.

karena cuaca menghangat, lapisan baju&celana sudah dikurangi, tinggal selapis saat summer.

pagi-siang-malam: bebas diaper

tidur: masih dengan diaper. sesekali tanpa diaper

* umur 2 tahun (winter 2009)

pagi-malam: sudah bebas diaper. kalo pipis/pup, dibantuin orang gede buat nuruni celana (karena pakai celana sampai 4 lapis).

tidur: dengan diaper; tetapi seringan tengah malam minta pipis di potty

otomatis diaper lebih sering kering sampai pagi, cuman buat jaga2 aja.

* umur 2thn 3 bulan (spring 2010)

celana masih pakai tiga lapis. tapi dia dah sering ngotot gak mau dibantuin buat nuruni celana. apa2 maunya dilakuin sendiri. paling kalo dia dah merasa kerepotan naikin kembali celananya, baru dia minta dibantuin.

tidur: sudah bebas diaper.

kalo malam2 mau pipis, dia bangun sendiri dan bilang mau pipis.

ini nih yang menurut mama patut banget dikasih jempol.

sejak umur 1 tahun, mulai bisa ngomong kalo mau pipis atau pup, sampai sekarang di usia 2 tahun 3 bulan, Angie cuman 1 kali kecelakaan pup di celana saat keasikan main di meja ruang tamu.

satu lagi tingkahnya Angie, yg suka bikin kita geli, kalo pup gak lebih dari 2 menit udah kelar.

potty training (atau dibilang potty learning oleh mamanya Shaina), emang tergantung masing2 anak, tapi juga sangat tergantung peranan orang dewasa, kapan pengen mulai menerapkannya.

Angie's potty-train .. almost successful

1 year 5.5 months (10 kg, 80 cm)

it's Angie's great milestone! 

from the kitchen, mommy heard Angie said, “niao-niao” (means pee), and some voice from plastic potty when she stood up. 

mommy came to see and found some urine in the potty. 

we always empty the potty once it has been used by Crystal or Angie. 

also found there was a bit of urine on the floor. 

she already had a bit pee by standing up, then she went to the potty. 

mommy gave Angie an applause and said she was a great girl to pee on potty . 

Angie was very happy! 

another hour later, she again went to the potty and said, “niao-niao”. 

mommy was still in the kitchen, quickly came to Angie who had gone to the living room.

again mommy gave her an applause and said she was a great girl. 

she smiled happily!! 

after dinner, Angie was playing with Crystal on the bed.

mommy brought in the potty and said to her, “Angie, have some pee.”

she immediately climbed down from the bed, and sat on the potty. 

after that, mommy gave her a piece of wipe, and she wiped by herself. 

she has mimicked her sis for doing it! 

as always, mommy never forgot to give compliment. 

Great job, lil girl ! 

Angie has worn diaper all the time during last winter. otherwise we may have to wash pants all the time. it's summer now .. very right time for potty training! 

we have started potty-train for Angie for about 2 weeks. 

next step mommy will teach her how to strip down her pants. 

so Angie could begin to wear normal pants. 

as most of chinese kids here, at home Angie wears pants with “hole” for pee. 

i believe it will not be so difficult since she often sees Crystal doing it.

是齐齐的成长大转折点！

从厨房妈妈听到齐齐讲："尿尿!"　　

过去看，痰盂里有点尿，地上也有点。

果然齐齐前面站着尿一点，然后自己跑到痰盂坐。

妈妈很高兴给齐齐鼓掌也说："齐齐真棒哦！晓得在痰盂里尿尿了!"

受表扬了，齐齐好开心!

 

过了一段时间妈妈从厨房里又听到齐齐说："尿尿!"　　

妈妈又跑过来看．痰盂里又有尿了．

每次痰盂被齐齐或晶晶尿，我们都会倒掉．

齐齐到客厅了．妈妈又给齐齐鼓掌和表扬．

齐齐笑的好开心!

 

晚上和姐姐在床上玩．妈妈把痰盂端进来说："齐齐，尿尿了!"

齐齐就从床上爬下来到痰盂上坐．果然是尿了．

妈妈给她一块布，她自己用它擦小屁股．

妈妈从来没忘记表扬小家伙！

 

齐齐真棒哦！

 

整个冬天一直都给齐齐带尿布．避免奶奶白天要洗好多裤子，毛裤等．

现在夏天到了，正是训练在痰盂尿的时间了．

齐齐也已被训了２个星期．还经常被奶奶打屁股，哭的可伤心了！

 

下一步妈妈要开始训练齐齐自己脱裤子．

齐齐一直以来都经常看姐姐自己小便．

一般小孩模仿力都很强的．应该不会很难吧！

Angie's potty training

Angie has been potty-trained for about 3 weeks.
If we carry her to pee or poop, mostly she will refuse it, turn herself to other side or cry.

When sitting on potty, mostly she will pee (or poop) when it's time to.

she will stand up when done (with us holding her arms).

Her grandma dan grandpa feel so joyful and amazed.. every time seeing Angie sitting on the potty.

Qiqi -- 8 months

Wah, gak kerasa yah.. tau2 dah 8 bulan aja!
Dulu setelah 8 bulan, Crystal udah stop asi.
Gara2 waktu tuh maknya sering tugas keluar kota, si oma takut Crystal nagih pas maknya lagi gak di rumah. takut gak bisa nanggulangi. (nyesal juga maknya, mestinya lanjut aja sebisanya)

Qiqi masih lanjut asi-nya. Walaupun kayaknya produksi menurun. di kantor masih diperas dan dibawa pulang buat esoknya.

dulu pas Crystal, pernah coba peras asi, terus diberikan di hari berikutnya. tau2nya pertama kali nyoba, si Crystal muntah. dulu kirain asi-nya basi. akhirnya perasan asi di kantor selalu dibuang. setelah nyoba lagi dg Qiqi, kupikir kayaknya dulu mungkin memang kebetulan aja hari itu si Crystal gak fit.

jadi Crystal dpt asi gak sebanyak Qiqi. dulu Qiqi tuh full ASI 3 bulan. kalo Crystal sejak lahir dah campur formula. ini juga gara2 si oma selalu bilang jangan ngutang susu ke si kecil. mak baru tau setelah waktu baca petunjuk rs theresia (jambi), kalo asi di 4 bulan pertama sudah mencukupi. dan ternyata selama 3 bulan pertama (masa cuti) memang cukup kok. asal sehabis nyusuin, maknya langsung "isi bensin".

kayaknya giginya masih 2 yang di bawah. yang di atas masih belom nongol.

Qiqi dah bisa duduk dari posisi tengkurep. mulai dikit2 merangkak, walaupun sering "keperosot" jadi tengkurap lagi.

tgl 24-Jul maren, mulai bisa tepuk tangan (kalo disuruh). tepuk tangannya lucu, yang tangan kiri, biasa .. yang kanan mengepal. setelah nepuk beberapa kali, dia akan menggengam kedua tangan di depan dada buat gerakan "gongxi" (kionghi).

paling gak suka dipakain topi. kalo dipakain, bisa dicopot dalam sekian detik.

masih tahap gemar merobek tisu atau kertas.
tahap gemar memakan apa saja agak berkurang.

sekarang maknya mulai mendudukkan di pispot kalo pipis atau pup. kalo waktunya pas, dia akan pipis atau pup. tapi kalo lagi gak ada, dia akan meronta2, menggeliat kayak ulet.

yang lucu kalo digendong papa-nya. sekarang kan lagi summer. kalo di rumah, papanya suka gak pakai baju. kalo gendong si Qiqi, tangannya langsung menjambak bulu ketek papanya. itu suka dijadiin alesan oleh papanya supaya gak usah gendong. soalnya si kecil kalo maknya di rumah, gak mau digendong papanya.

kalo gendong Qiqi jadi gampang keringatan, Qiqi tuh kayak ulet, suka menggeliat, suka muter2in badannya, suka manjat ke badan yang gendong. kalo misal maknya mau ngelakuin sesuatu, minta papanya or oma/opa buat gendong, si Qiqi langsung membuang atau menyembunyikan mukanya atau menjambak kencang2 baju maknya. kalo sudah pindah tangan, langsung merengek2. udah gitu, papanya suka lupa dipipiskan, jadi sering kena ompol. hihihi..

pernah sekali papanya bilang, "mama gak mau kamu." eeh.. Qiqi langsung nangis. terus papanya bilang, "iya deh..mama mau sama kamu." berhenti nangis. terus papanya coba lagi, "mama gak mau sama kamu." eeh..nangis lagi. "oh..oh..mau deh..mau deh...". berhenti nangis.
seolah2 dia ngerti apa yang kita omongkan.

Qiqi biasanya lebih anteng kalo diajak mandi atau diajak duduk di kursi goyang.

ready for night training?

Minggu subuh jam 2.15, mak lagi asik di ruang makan menghabiskan mie kuah karena kelaparan tengah malam.

tahu-tahu terdengar rengekan kecil dari kamar, mak langsung masuk ke kamar. kirain Crystal jatuh dari tempat tidur. ternyata lagi digendong oleh papanya untuk pipis di baskom pipisnya yang biasa kita pakai tengah malam buat pipisnya dia.

kata papanya, dia bangun dan turun sendiri dari tempat tidur, terus bilang mau pipis.
ini untuk kedua kalinya dia bangun sendiri tengah malam dan bilang mau pipis, tapi ini kali pertama dia turun sendiri dari tempat tidur untuk pipis.

hebat nak!
mungkinkah kamu sudah siap untuk night training?

tapi mungkin juga hanya kebetulan kali yah. mak sih masih belum berani mengambil resiko membiarkan Crystal bangun sendiri pada saat hendak pipis.
biasanya jam 12 dan jam 3 subuh adalah jam pipisnya Crystal untuk tidak 'accident' (alias ngompol) di tempat tidur.


kemajuan lain, sudah sejak satu dua bulan ini Crystal udah bisa pakai celana sendiri.
memang tiap kali sehabis pipis, mak memang suka biasain nyuruh dia coba menarik sendiri celananya, kadang dia mau, kadang mungkin kalo lagi malas, dia akan bilang, "gak bisa".

demikian juga kalo sehabis pipis, dia seringkali maunya ngelap sendiri. idem, kalo lagi malas, mak yang kudu ngelap-in.

terus kalo sehabis poop, sebelum dicebokin, dia suka menunggingkan pantatnya untuk dilap tisu. kedua tangannya ditaroh di lantai, dengan posisi pinggang ditekuk ke depan membentuk huruf A. hahaha... !

ada lagi, belakangan ini dia suka main di tempat tidur dengan posisi menunggingkan pantat, dengan kepala sebagai penahan badan, terus kedua tangannya melakukan gerakan 'tepuk tangan'.

potty training

Crystal is 22 months today

since Crystal could sit well, and especially when she started to walk, 11.5 months, if i was at home, i'd try as much to let her sit on potty when pee or poop.
also i often told her:
"Jing-jing, if you want to pee or poop, tell mama. OK? or if you want, you can go and pee at toilet. or you can sit on potty by yourself."

i think it's about time for her now.
she is more than half way to success for this potty training.
sometimes if she wants to pee, she sits on the potty by herself.
sometimes i just remind her by saying, "Jing-jing, go and sit on potty before you pee on your pants."
many kiddy pants in china are having a hole on the bottom area.
so, she wouldnt have to take off her pants. she can just sit on the potty and pee.

actually i have let her wear a kiddy panty. but her grandma is not so patient to let her wear it. she doesnt want to let her wear it.

sometimes Crystal will tell us by saying, "niao niao." (means: pee).
but still .. sometimes she says "niao niao" after she has already pee. lol !

last nite, around 9pm, i let her play puzzles on bed. few minutes later, i fell aslept 'coz i was awfully sleepy.
on 9.30pm, in my sleep, i heard her saying to me, "niao niao..niao niao..."
i found out she was standing besides our bed, talking to me, pointing her pee on the floor.
her pants were wet. lol !

she had got down from the bed. she just had pee before reaching the potty.
blamed mama for falling a sleep !
on 10pm, she told me she wanted to poop. so she sat on potty with me sat in front of her, accompanying her.

here was the sweetest thing she did while we sat together waiting for her to poop;
she said she wanted to kiss my eyes. so i let her do it. my dear lill one, mommy's enjoying your kissing mommy's eyes very much !!! and i also kissed her eyes.




Smarty doesn't want to use potty
On contrary, Smarty, the boy of my in-laws, never wants to sit on potty or toilet.
So anyone in the house should carry up this 18kgs boy whenever he poops, with extra bonus: the smell comes up from the basin where he poops.

They never let him have potty training .. never !
He is now, 2 years 8 months; maybe a little bit late for starting a potty training.

'They' here includes his own parents and my mother and father-in-law.
They just simply say, he doesn't want to sit on potty or toilet.

Yes .. of course he doesn't want, 'coz they never let him do from the very beginning.
So, please do carry him all the time if he wants to poop, and you all will surely get your bonus of course.. lol.

They never listen to my advise regarding some parenting stuffs. They think they know more perhaps. Whatever..!
But they often finds out Crystal can do this or that earlier compares to her brother.
Then they would start to teach similar thing to Smarty.
Same case with eating with a spoon.

I have a little argument (not quarrel) with my husband regarding potty training last nite.
My husband doesn't believe that Smarty doesn't want to sit on potty or toilet because of no potty training on him.
My husband said, it's just a boy's nature. A girl is easier to squat when pee or sit on potty, because of the nature that she is a girl.

Whatever-lah .. the potty training I did for Crystal has brought good result.. as i said, more than half way to success.

thoughtful lill girl

Crystal is such a thoughtful lill girl. Since few months ago, i noticed that everytime for example her head strucked my face or somewhere else, and i said, "aiyooleee.. you strucked mama's face. it hurts." she would quickly turn over and use her little fingers to touch my face and do a little massage.

Saturday nite when i fed her some fruit soup, she bumped into my arm so the soup was poured onto my jacket. i said, "you look at it .. mama's jacket is now wet. don't bump mama's arm again, sit nicely and have this fruit." she stood up, walked into the dining table, got a wipe paper and then came to wipe my jacket.

how thoughtful this lill girl is, is she?



another same case i notice she would do:

put on the plastic into the trash bin whenever she sees us taking away the garbage;

take shoes out for me from the cabinet when i get home (and also for her dearest grand-aunt)

take (empty) potty and shoes for her cousin when he wakes up from his nap (if she has awaken from her nap)

if she pees in the potty, she will bring the potty by herself to toilet, pour it into toilet, get some water to rinse it, wipe the edge of it with toilet paper, then put the potty on the usual place. of course i would help her on the part when she brings it to toilet and when she rinses it (she copies what i do everytime she pees in the potty, and insists to do by herself).

deliver bowl, chopstick or glass to kitchen.

pick up a used toothpick (if she found one) and deliver to trash bin (her grandpa/ma often put used toothpick anywhere instead of putting it straightly into trash bin).

if my glasses drop from my nose, she will fix the position with her fingers.

probably these all make her feel important..hahaha... !



sometimes while having dinner, she would call her daddy, "papa.. chi fan!" (daddy, have dinner!)

several times i asked her question like: "do you love mama?" she would answer: "love mama" (intentionally i asked about everyone except her uncle, then she would say by herself, "love uncle")

i often teach her to ask other people to have dinner (in case somebody hasn't come to the dining table). i also teach her to greet good morning, good nite whenever she is going to sleep or just waking up. she could also know how to reply when somebody says 'xie xie, Jing-jing!' (thank you) to her, she will say, "bu yong xie" (no need to thank)


Ooh...oooh...!

if there is some certain thing she cannot express in words, she would say, "ooh...oooh...!?" with puzzled eyes and face, sometimes pointing with her forefinger. just like Sunday nite, grandma took a piece of plastic rope and tide grandpa's plant in the living room. she felt that there was something unusual, she looked at the plant and said, "ooh..ooh...oooh!"

we all agreed that it ain't look good that way. i taught her to say that it ain't look good. and she followed me by saying, "bu hao kan!" so now if we ask her, "Jing-jing, does it look good?" she will not say 'ooh...ooh...' with puzzling face anymore
